The emergence of the COVID-19 puts the world into a panic. It is a new coronavirus which is similar to SARS. Thus, a person’s immune system is crucial in the current situation because it helps our bodies fight off viral infections. When the harmful bacteria or viruses enter our body, our immune systems will react to the invaders. There are few ways to boost up our immune functions such as getting enough antioxidants and cultivating the probiotics in the large intestine. Therefore, improving our immunity is an important factor to fight off the virus and reduce the severity and the probability of infection.

Inulin, it is a type of carbohydrate fiber, a prebiotics that helps and promotes the growth of probiotics.

Probiotics play an important role in our health. They are a group of microbes that are good for their hosts such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. When we have enough probiotics in the body, they can promote our health by regulating the balance of microflora in our digestive system, preventing harmful substances from entering the body and improving our immune system. In short, prebiotics are the foods of probiotics. Getting enough prebiotics can support the growth of probiotics. Probiotics are so important that they are known to help promote the production of natural antibodies in the body.

Prebiotics can directly or indirectly improve our immune system, hence less likely to get infections by bacteria or viruses.
